Welcome to Sewell Racing Frames, home of the world's most technically advanced speedway sidecar racing frame.

What makes a Sewell Racing Speedway Frame different from the rest?

A Sewell Racing Frame has several different features such as:

Seven way adjustable chair wheel gives movement forward and back, up and
down, in and out, with up to 50mm of track adjustment all without altering the
chair wheel angle.
A wider kneeler for easier movement for both rider and passenger.
Back wheel plates are mounted on the inside of the frame to help with quick
wheel changes.
Headset is gusseted for maximum strength.
Triple clamps are machined from billet aluminum allowing even pressure on
the fork tubes. This prevents crushing of the fork tubes from over tightening.
Lead adjustable front end works perfectly with the new chair wheel set up.
Chain tensioner allows changing  of sprockets without adjusting the wheel base once you have your bike  set up. By dropping a tooth it would let  your wheel come back 10mm, where if you  were to take out a link in the chain the wheel would go forward 20mm.
The Nose Cone stands out from past models.
Floor sheeting and fibreglass are fastened to the frame with dzus clips. The bike can be dismantled in approximately two minutes.

All of the bikes we ride are fitted with the above. We believe these advancements are the future in speedway sidecar racing.

LATEST NEWS

2009 AUSTRALIAN SIDECAR TITLES - posted 8 April, 2009

WOW what a weekend. It was great to catch up with so many friends and mates. We want to thank from the bottom of our heart Robyn and Ray Mayes who opened up their home and work shed for all 11 of us. Their hospitality and kindness is what makes them such special people. We had a fantastic time staying with them. Thank you both it was greatly appreciated.

Another big thank you from us has to go to Karen and Andy Lennard of Lennard Drilling in Gympie for their support and sponsorship, without sponsors like them it would make racing all that much harder. Thankyou also to DEVERY”S Service Station, and Tracwell in Gympie for your sponsorship every bit helps and it’s nice to know we have guys like you on board to help us along.

Congratulations to the finalist of the title and overall winners 1st Mark Mitchell / Tom Golding (SA), 2nd Darrin Treloar / Justin Plaisted (NSW / SA), 3rd Rick Howes /Adam Commons (NSW) and 4th Scott Christopher / Trent Koppee QLD. It was very disappointing to see Scott and Trent disqualified from the final, I think a few people agree this was a very wrong decision made on the night, Bad luck boys we were all cheering for you.

As always with an Australian Title tempers can flair, and upsets happen but it is great to see that off the track we come together as mates and have a drink afterwards. On the track we are all individual teams in the pits everyone does what they can to keep each other running.  Thank you to Kane Irwin and Trent Headland for lending us parts to keep us out their on qualifying night.

Unfortunately we didn’t do as well as we had hoped for. We bent a chair Wheel axil in Practice, the track was very rough and I’m sure the other riders who also bent or broke axils will agree. Anyone that say’s it was good obviously wasn’t on the track riding it. It would have given a different result on the night had the track been the same as it was on the main night. Hey that’s racing.

Bill and Kim had a 1st for their first ride then things just didn’t go well after that. It was a combination of a new bike which we completed the night before we left to go to Mildura, chasing set-up, and both of them still adjusting to working as a team. Bill and Kim had only three meetings together before the Titles so overall we are pleased with the result, there is always another meeting. It was very unfortunate though to see our passenger come off the bike just before the finish line in the last race. Kim hung on the best she could but it just wasn’t happening. She is ok, has a few bruises that are very sore but very keen to get back to racing. She is one tough little lady. Thanks Kim you’re a champ.

Simon Heartly, Rick Flood and Andrew O’Rourke are all new competitors now competing on Sewell Racing Frames, anything you guys need do not hesitate to call us for assistance. Well done to very competitor out there over the weekend for putting on a great weekend of competition and very hard racing. Every team on the track spends so much money time and effort, to getting to these meeting that they all deserved to be congratulated.
